Starting today, we’re implementing a hybrid pay-as-you-go and subscription model for Storytell. You can purchase credits or subscribe to a Pro account by visiting the Storytell Pricing page.

Here’s what this means for everyone:

10,000 free credits for everyone who signs up for a Storytell account
Buy a Pro subscription for $20 and get 20,000 credits per month
Buy 10,000 credits for $10 (get a 25% bonus multiplier if you’re a Pro subscriber)

💳 Stripe Integration

We use Stripe as our payment provider, so you can easily manage your billing and subscription.

What this means:

Subscription management: Upgrade to Pro ($20/month or $200/year) with Stripe's secure checkout
Credit purchases: Buy additional credits when you need them, with clear pricing (1 credit = $0.001 USD)
Self-service billing: Manage your subscription, view invoices, and update payment methods directly from your account

How it works: When you hit "Upgrade" or "Buy Credits," you'll go through Stripe's secure checkout. Your receipt shows what you purchased, credits are added instantly, and you can manage everything from the "Manage" link in your account dropdown.

Here's what you'll notice:

Always-visible credit counter in your prompt bar - no more guessing how many credits you have left
Detailed credit breakdown showing total credits, monthly usage, and plan type when you click the balance

This solves the question of "wait, how many credits do I have left?" we heard from so many of you.
